Confederacy, 5 Dollars, 1862

a.
This five-dollar bill was reinforced with part of a low-value (ten-cent) note from Mississippi.

b.
China blue ink was used to print Confederate notes. The supply, however, was not abundant, and the results of watering down the ink can be seen now in the fading of this note.
