Help bring our culture exhibition to life with objects from The Wizard of Oz

Scarecrow costume worn by Ray Bolger in The Wizard of Oz

In October 2016, more than 6,400 backers from around the world came together on Kickstarter to help the National Museum of American History conserve Dorothy’s Ruby Slippers from The Wizard of Oz in preparation for future display.

However, our journey on the yellow brick road isn’t over yet. You can help us do more to conserve items from The Wizard of Oz, including conserving Scarecrow’s original costume from the 1939 movie so that it can join Dorothy’s Ruby Slippers on display. All funds raised will help support a new museum exhibition devoted to the arts, music, sports, and entertainment.

Your support will help to make this exhibit a reality for millions to enjoy these special and unique objects for generations to come.
