Object 48 [of 66] – Champagne stopper


One special item in Julia's kitchen junk drawer was a Bouchon A Champagne Automatique Rod, a stainless steel champagne bottle stopper. This stopper—still in its original box—was a gift to Julia from her friend, the chef James Beard, with whom she collaborated on several teaching, cooking, and writing projects.
