Object 7 [of 66] – Anti-Monte Lait

 

This flat, glazed ceramic, French "anti-monte lait" does what many other anti-boil devices do. Made of many shapes and of many different materials, they break up and release air bubbles, thus preventing boil-overs—in this case, of milk (lait).
