Description:

Colored print of a parade featuring a wagon decorated with an eagle and flag bunting pulled by six horses. A beavy of maidens is seated inside the wagon, along side a bust of Washington. The parade is making its way toward a grandstand that is in the background. Beside the grandstand is the cornerstone for the monument. A large crowd is in attendance. The "Washington Monument" mentioned is not the Washington Monument in Washington, DC but one near a "Hamilton Square".
