Description:

Black and white print; parody on the quote "They shall beat their swords into plowshares." Depicts soldiers making farm impliments out of weapons. A man stands on a cannon carriage in the center holding a large book on which appears the inscription "George Peabody/2,000000 for education." Behind him hangs a large American flag topped by an eagle. Other figures include children, slaves mechanics and laborers.
