Pigs, representing the "Principals of Party Government" are below the machine and an eagle representing "The Dawn of Whig Principals" spreads it's wings above. A "collar pole" with several men attached is in the right background. Dialog and additional phrases appear on the print and make reference to the extra allowance of $80,000 for the Post Office and Postmaster William Barry, who is depicted in the lower right, speaking to a a classically garbed "Liberty."
