Description:

Color print on an advertising poster. The print image is a scene of a race track in front of a judge's stand. One horse, still attached to his sulky and driver, is having a blanket thrown over his back while the other horses, which are covered with blankets, are being led away. Men are pushing sulkies while one driver gestures with his whip to the judges in the stand. Spectators are standing around. The poster advertises the Hartford races at Charter Oak Park in August 1889.
