"...we have had unusual cooperation"
The Smithsonian and the Museum of American History have been more successful in collecting because of who we are, the recognition of this museum and its importance to the nation. We have had unusual cooperation from the FBI, for example. There have been objects that have been transferred to us from one federal agency to another. The FBI deemed that transfer would not break the chain of evidence for example. We have found the various agencies, state, local, federal, unusually cooperative.
