Food History Weekend Gala from Home
Food History Weekend Gala
Thursday, October 15, 2020
Become a sponsor of the sixth annual Smithsonian Food History Gala from Home! Join a dynamic crowd of food professionals and enthusiasts at the nation’s history museum for a virtual night like no other. The highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the Julia Child Award by The Julia Child Foundation for Gastronomy and the Culinary Arts.
By becoming a sponsor, you will be supporting the important new initiatives of the Smithsonian Food History Project, which will help us to establish a paid internship program to provide mentoring and professional learning experiences to candidates from communities that are underrepresented in the museum and food history fields. Your support will also help us create and sustain a more robust digital presence with our food history collections, research, and programs, including the popular Cooking Up History conversations and demonstrations that feature guest chefs and cooks from around the country.
With your generous sponsorship of the Gala from Home, you will receive a variety of benefits (listed below), including a beautiful box filled with food and related items provided by companies, organizations, and individuals that have been making a difference to people in need during the 2020 crises. The Box for Good will provide nourishment for the body, heart, and soul. Your support will help the museum make a lasting difference in the lives of millions of people through food history education, awareness, and action.
