1801: present 89-foot brick-lined stone octagonal pyramidal tower, dwelling attached

automated in 1912; active aid to navigation

Light characteristic:
3 seconds of white alternating with 3 seconds of darkness visible for 14 nautical miles with red sector

Notes:
oldest existing lighthouse in Connecticut
