Year established: 1801

Height above sea level: 45 feet

Original construction:
32-foot wooden tower

Rebuilds:
1851: 40-foot wooden tower
1897: 41-foot cylindrical brick tower, elevated walk to dwelling.

Status:
Electrified in 1922, automated in 1974, and restored in 2000; active aid to navigation

Light characteristic:
Flashing white every 7.5 seconds, red sector from 180 to 217 degrees, visible for 11 nautical miles; fog signal, 2 blasts every 60 seconds.
