Original construction:
Two white 40-foot octagonal conical towers about 70 feet apart

Rebuilds:
1841: 48-foot brick towers undermined by erosion 1879-80
1877: 48-foot white brick-lined cast-iron conical towers 100-feet apart
1923: north light moved to Nauset Beach

Status:
Electrified 1939; automated 1982; active aid to navigation

Light characteristic:
Group-flashing white - twice every 10 seconds, visible for 24 nautical miles
