Original construction:
25-foot stone tower

Rebuilds:
1860: light atop 2-story keepers house replaced old tower
1891: 45-foot white, conical tower, covered way to dwelling
1947: lighthouse demolished

Status:
1947: skeleton tower replaced lighthouse; active aid to navigation

Light characteristic:
continuous quick-flashing white, visible for 8 miles
