Year established: 1838
Latitude: 41 deg 51 min 38 sec N
Longitude: 69 deg 57 min 7 sec W
Height above sea level: 114 feet

Original construction:
Three 15-foot conical brick towers, 150 feet apart

Rebuilds:
1892: cliff erosion led to three new wooden towers farther inland
1911: Outer lights removed, center light retained
1923: 1877-built Chatham 48-foot brick-lined cast iron tower moved to site
1996: moved inland 340 feet, relighted; upper part red, lower part white

Status:
automated in 1955; private aid to navigation

Light characteristic:
alternating red and white flashes every 5 seconds, visible for 20 nautical miles

Notes:
National Park Service acquired the 1892 "3 Sisters" lights and relocated them near the Nauset Light
