Height above sea level: 50 feet

Original construction:
two movable wooden towers, as range lights to show channels through shifting sand bars

Rebuilds:
1838: two towers replaced
1898: present single 35-foot tower (card 2a)

Status:
electrified in 1927, automated in 1951; active aid to navigation

Light characteristic:
Occulting green, 2 eclipses every 15 seconds visible for 10 nautical miles
