Year established: 1781
Latitude: 43 deg 15 min 42 sec N
Longitude: 79 deg 3 min 49 sec W
Height above sea level: 91 feet

Original construction:
tower on the roof of Ft. Niagara

Rebuilds:
1823: new wooden tower on fort
1872: 50-foot octagonal limestone tower, with black cast iron lantern.
1900: raised about 11 ft

Status:
obscured by trees, light deactivated in 1993, and replaced by beacon to avoid removal of trees
