Longitude: 69 deg 41 min 23 sec W
Height above sea level: 43 feet

Original construction:
tower showing light 39-feet above sea level atop granite keeper's house

Rebuilds:
1875: present 39-foot square brick tower and dwelling

Status:
Automated in 1979; active aid to navigation; discontinued in 1933, land sold; light reactivated in 1961 after electricity became available

Light characteristic:
Fixed white with landward red sector, visible for 9 nautical miles
