Original construction:
30-foot white brick tower connected to dwelling

Rebuilds:
1895: keeper's house rebuilt

Status:
Automated in 1982; active aid to navigation; empty keeper's house damaged by fire in 1989, since restored

Light characteristic:
Fixed red with white sector, visible for 10 nautical miles; fog signal, 1 blast every 30 seconds
