40-foot brick-lined cast iron light tower

Status:
Automated in 1939; active aid to navigation

Light characteristic:
Flashing white every 6 seconds, visible for 6 nautical miles; fog signal one blast every 6 seconds

Notes:
In 1989 a proposal to decommission the light was dropped after local objections.
