present 54-foot white conical brick tower on black cast iron cylindrical pier

1934: light electrified
1951: granite breakwater from mainland to the light

Automated in the early 1960s; active aid to navigation

Light characteristic:
Flashing white every 6 seconds with 2 red sectors; fog signal is 1 blast every 10 seconds
