Longitude: 72 deg 15 min 40 sec W

Rebuilds:
1868: existing square granite tower on two-story granite dwelling

Status:
deactivated in 1934; replaced by square green day-board "3CI" on skeleton tower

Notes:
Originally on an island 200 yards from shore, the "Great" hurricane of 1938 shifted bottom sands to create a narrow strip connecting the island to the shore, now a park owned by Suffolk County
