49-foot conical white brick-lined cast iron tower, brown band mid- height; on brown cylindrical caisson base

Status:
automated in 1974; active aid to navigation

Light characteristic:
flashing white every 6 seconds visible for 9 nautical miles; fog signal 2 bell strokes every 15 seconds

Notes:
nearest town is in CT, but light is actually in NY waters
