Original construction:
house with wooden tower

Rebuilds:
1868: current 35-foot wooden tower extension to stone dwelling

Status:
automated in 1933; replaced by skeleton tower 1933-1991; reactivated in 1991, active aid to navigation

Light characteristic:
alternating red and green every 12 seconds, visible for 14 nautical miles
