Rebuilds:
1869: current 46-foot brick tower atop dwelling on stone pier

Status:
decommissioned in 1954 and replaced by an automated light atop a pipe structure; acquired by Saugerties Lighthouse Conservancy and restored in 1990 as an active aid to navigation

Light characteristic:
Occulting white every 4 seconds (2 seconds white, 2 seconds dark) visible for 5 nautical miles)

Notes:
The lighthouse is operated as a bed-and-breakfast inn.
