Height above sea level: 38 feet

Original construction:
screw-pile lighthouse project destroyed by ice floes before completion; replaced by lightship

Rebuilds:
1875: two-story wooden lighthouse built on a granite foundation pier

Status:
decommissioned in 1907 - abandoned, only foundation remains
