Year established: 1874
Latitude: 39 deg 0 min 24 sec N
Longitude: 74 deg 47 min 30 sec W
Height above sea level: 57 feet

Original construction:
current 50-foot square wooden tower atop a dwelling

Rebuilds:
1913: tower moved 150 feet westward after a storm damaged the foundation
1964: automated light tower replaced the lighthouse
1977: restoration of lighthouse begun by City of N. Wildwood

Status:
automatic beacon relit in lighthouse in 1986, active aid to navigation

Light characteristic:
flashing white every 10 seconds, visible for 24 nautical miles

Notes:
lighthouse damaged by fire in 1938, property transferred to NJ in 1963
