Discussion:
This sextant came from Princeton University, and was probably purchased for the John C. Green Astronomical Observatory that was established there in 1877. It has a brass frame. The silvered scale is graduated every 10 minutes from -5o to +155o and read by vernier with tangent screw and magnifier to 10 seconds of arc.
