Discussion:
This sextant came from Princeton University, and may have been purchased in 1877 for the new John C. Green Astronomical Observatory at that school. It has a brass frame. The silvered scale is graduated every 10 minutes from -5o to +125o and read by vernier with tangent screw and swinging magnifier to 10 seconds.
