Discussion:
This Japanese sextant has a gunmetal frame painted gray and 5 telescopes. The silvered scale is graduated every 10' from -5o to 155o and read by vernier and magnifier to 10" of arc. There are two calibration certificates in the box, one dated 1929 and the other dated 1940. Tamaya made most of the sextants used by the Japanese military during World War II.
