Vernacular name: bento bako
Three part kit consisting of rice compartment shaped like a bucket with handle, a smaller compartment that fits on top of the bucket, and a lid with a top strap handle. Both bottom and top compartments are marked with a circular stamp. Made in Japan.

Grey enamel, 3 pieces, 18.1cm H, 14.5cm diam.
Used by Denkichi and Tatsuo Hirose, to carry lunch to fields. Donor states that he later preferred large lunch kit. Brought from Japan by his first wife who later became ill and died in Japan.
