DESCRIPTION
Evacuation sale signs propped on mailbox

"Evacuation Sale / Furniture All Must Be Sold"

Original caption: "U.S. Army war emergency orders. Japanese try to sell their belongings."

CONTEXT
"We were renting a house, so we weren't able to store too much. People came to buy things. We sold our furniture. Stuff like that you have to sell; you can't take it away with you. You are limited to two suitcases -- what you can carry. We just took bedding, clothing. That's about all."
