TITLE High school artist in front of mural, "Assembly Centers" DESCRIPTION High school artist in front of mural (3) "Assembly Centers" Mary Ihara in front of portion of mural (still on easel) depicting assembly centers. 17 years old, grade 12A CONTEXT These large murals were painted by high school students at Rohwer Relocation Center. They show "the history" of relocation from their homes in California to a camp of more than 10,000 people built in the lowlands of Arkansas between the Mississippi River and the White River.
