CONTEXT
Mary Tsukamoto was 27 in the spring of 1942, when she was sent to the camp at Jerome, Ark., with her husband and child. A long-time resident of Florin, California, near Sacramento, she was active in community affairs and in the local chapter of the Japanese American Citiznes League (JACL).
