The stars are configured in the shape of a large five pointed star on a blue background. Behind the soldier are two other soldiers, one holding a bayonet, and the other carrying a sword. At their feet is a damaged cannon, shells, part of a cannon ball, a chain and other debris. In the background in the harbor, a lighthouse, and the city of Charleston on fire.
